Strengthening groups who are changing their communities for good

A vibrant community will comprise groups who voluntarily form to pursue some or other aspect of their mutual welfare and the welfare of their community. The communities where SALT Alliance Members work are not different. They comprise, for example, home based care groups, savings groups, youth groups, support groups, agriculture groups, school clubs, community outreach by local churches and community-based non profit organisations.

SALT Alliance members provide skills training and support for such groups, individually and collectively at SALT Imbizos.  Increasingly, SALT Alliance Members will also work through advocacy and campaigns to create a more enabling environment for these groups.
